ABOUT ME
MY STORYSince 2015, I had started seriously playing with makeup, and doing some freelance work. Previously I had grown up in dance doing my own and others makeup and had also learned some special effects makeup along the way. This mixed with my deep interested in movie making, makeup and behind the scenes brought me to this path to become a makeup artist.
I completed my training in October of 2021. Although I had done my training through the Coronavirus pandemic, I’m am grateful for what is has taught me, which is the value of sanitation procedures and face to face interactions with clients. I went on to complete a couple short films, such as “Birdcage” by the Sait student films productions and “Main-ers” done by Kukulcan Productions. I also had the pleasure to do work for a music video, promotional videos, some weddings and a magazine article. I also became a certified lash technician, in early 2023.
From an early age I had always more interest in the creation of movies, especially the makeup and special effects. I would watch more of the behind the scenes than I would have the actual film, and spend more time breaking down how a look or effect was created. I grew up doing a lot of art class, theatre, and dance anything creative I could get my hands on, I did it. I started to get more interested in SFX makeup when we started learning about in one of my drama classes, the thought of creating a story from a few products and applying them accordingly intrigued me. I started to show more interest in makeup, and using it as another art medium. Being able to create art on someone felt so beautiful and meaningful. I got asked to do a couple wedding and graduations for people, and from there I set upon my goal of becoming a fully certified makeup artist.
